We are thankful to SWEPCO to have power restored here at Quality Life and the Scull Creek Apartments. The ice storm this week in NW Arkansas left us without power for parts of three days with temperatures in the teens (January 27 - 29, 2009).After power is restored and bodies are warm, it doesn't seem so daunting. In fact, if we are not mistaken there may be a fawn and a little girl (Lucy from Narnia) waiting under the lamp post in the photo (below) of the Scull Creek Trail!

It was awfully cold and dark, and at our place we now have lots of broken trees to deal with. But people helped each other, and the workers made such valiant efforts to get us all back to light and warmth, we have to feel grateful.
