Quality Life held a dedication ceremony on September 26, 2007 to showcase The Village at Scull Creek .
We would like to thank First Capital and Warren Cat for their generous donations and also their presence at the dedication.
The Village is a 54-unit apartment community designed to be 100% accessible for individuals with disabilities. The apartments incorporate a concept called "Universal Design" to make the living spaces comfortable for everyone. For example, 36" doors accomodate wheelchairs, and so do the showers. Countertops in the kitchen are low enough for wheelchair access, but still provide a comfortable working surface for those who stand while preparing food.
"Not only will the Village at Scull Creek campus fill a need that exists in our community, but it will become a model for other accessible communities across the country," said Jennifer Featherston, Director of Operations.
If you would like more information on the apartments please contact Quality Life staff at 479.571.4455.
